This free train template printable is from Stay at Home Educator. I've made accompanying headers for the train and shapes in both English and Mandarin. You can download them here.
I was told that square should be 正方形 and 四方形. What have I been learning all my life? HAHAHA! In this printable that I'm sharing, I amended that.
This activity is great for the introduction of shapes or to recap the names of shapes. It also allows a child to use glue and work on fine motor skills managing the pieces. It also involves some puzzle problem solving skills to fit the pieces.
As I found the printable for train a little small, I printed it with 110% scale so the pieces are a little larger. I printed it on coloured stock paper so they were a little hardy.
