DRAMATIC PLAY: Adriel's Ice Cream Shop

Our 3rd dramatic play corner was our most comprehensive ever. After our Hospital Dramatic Play, it took a long time to prepare this Ice Cream Shop as I collected many components and I got lazy in between. We love ice cream (who doesn't?)!

The printables for this dramatic play corner were from Pocket of Preschool. I shopped quite a bit between many packages and decided on it as I love the DIY ice cream cone labels. It turned out to be one of our favourite elements of the play corner.

I am a fan of 2nd hand toys, especially wooden ones. As much as I love wooden toys, they are often expensive.. So pre-loved toys in great condition are really great!

I got this 2nd hand ice cream shop with magnetic pieces from Mother Garden.

The magnetic pieces were so adorable!

I printed labels using photographs of our toys for the set up as part of the menu.

Clear containers from Daiso came in really handy! I DIY-ed the balls of ice cream using ping pong balls by painting them. I also stuck a dot of velcro on them so I could add 'toppings'.

I also got popsicles from Le Toy Van and Tender Leaf Toys as they're just so adorable!

The flavours are so adorable!

I also DIY-ed labels for push pop like ice creams. I also upcycled the packaging of our favourite ice cream sandwich for the play corner.

Orange for Adriel (: He loves the colour orange!

We have our cash register and also credit card machine. Spoons for the set up were so adorable too!

I also printed replica notes for Adriel to play with (:

This was our refurbished IKEA kitchen. This was the 2nd rendition of it.. That tap is functional by the way!

Our little ice cream preparation corner.
The clear glasses were from my baking hoarding XD
The bottles of sauces were printed and glued onto the bottles I found from the hardware store.
The 'toppings' were hot glue gun pieces with velcro stuck below.

We also had our Hape fridge. Love the phone!

I fitted the fridge with sensor lights. Those glasses of sundaes were from my replica food collection.
The topping station!
How a DIY cone looks like!

Employees only!

Adriel loved playing it in!

Check out this video of him in his play corner!
We loved the ice cream shop and had great fun with it..
